ASA – Autonomous Systems Agent

ASA is our AI systems administrator. Independent of vendors, it is designed to prevent hacking through its own tools.

What is ASA?

Most “AI management tools” sold today come from your own vendor—and are therefore, by definition, focused on that vendor’s products. If you choose best-of-breed IT (the best server, the best storage, the best networking equipment, even when they come from different brands—which is often the most economically and technically sensible choice), you are left with just as many separate, non-communicating AI layers.

ASA is different. It is an in-house, vendor-independent AI systems administrator that is provided with knowledge of your IT environment—not trained, but configured, just as you would onboard a new administrator. Frequently asked questions

Is this safe enough for critical systems? Yes—precisely because ASA deliberately has no access to tickets, email, or other untrusted text sources, it avoids the attack surface (prompt injection) responsible for most AI-agent incidents worldwide. For tasks that do carry this risk, we place a person between ASA and execution.

Does ASA work with the vendors we already use? Almost always. ASA was deliberately built to be vendor-independent—it does not replace your servers, storage, or network equipment, but manages them regardless of the brand.

What happens if ASA applies an update that turns out not to work? ASA automatically rolls back the change and reports the incident so it can be investigated in a test environment—never blindly pushed through.

Does ASA replace our IT employee or service provider? No. ASA takes over routine, time-consuming management tasks—patching, monitoring, and health checks—so your employees (or Netcare, as an outsourced service provider) can focus on what people do better: complex issues, architectural decisions, and exceptions. So it does indeed save time and costs. In addition, the AI has broad knowledge of various products, reducing the need to hire external expertise.

How quickly can ASA become operational? That depends on the size and complexity of your IT environment. After the initial assessment and knowledge transfer, ASA can quickly take on the first low-risk tasks autonomously; we gradually expand its permissions as trust—and its track record—are established.
