However, some products and markets are so specific that there is no standard solution. It is possible to create an industry solution for this. NetCare has done this, among other things, for the market for charging stations for electric vehicles
Market model
The eMobility market has a number of business models. The simplest model is selling the so-called "dumb" charging stations. No card is required for this charging station and it is mainly intended for private individuals with an electric car who want to charge their car at home. The business lease driver of a fossil fuel car often has a fuel card. This means that the costs of fuel are charged directly to the employer. That is so handy. Because the driver of an electric car also wants to declare the "fuel" costs to the employer, passes have been devised for this type of driver. The lease driver of an electric car often charges his car at the office or at the fast charger that can usually be found along the highway. The costs are charged directly to the employer via the charging card. Charging at home is also an option. In the latter case, the charging card keeps track of how much energy is consumed and this is reimbursed by the employer to the employee. It has been agreed in the market that this settlement is done by the so-called CPO (Charge Point Operator). This could be an energy company, but also an independent supplier.
eMobility solution
NetCare has created a module in Odoo for this reimbursement, which can process the consumption data of individual charging stations and make a settlement for the user. Depending on the agreements between employer and employee or leasing company, this will be processed administratively. By default, the employee receives compensation directly from the CPO and the costs are charged to the client.
It is also possible that a CPO owns public charging stations and offers every driver of an electric vehicle the opportunity to charge. It is then necessary that there are agreements between the card providers and the CPO. The individual agreements about charging can be recorded in our eMobility solution, so that everything is handled correctly financially. The price can be varied by several factors
tower is affected. In public parking lots, it can be useful to make the price depend not only on the amount of electricity used, but also on how long someone uses the charging station. It is also possible to set a starting rate.
It is also important to know which charging station is located at which customer for both warranty and support purposes. Odoo can be set up in such a way that it fits together seamlessly. The process surrounding installation, whether a supplier does it itself or outsources it, can also easily be set up in Odoo. The charging station module is linked to this logistics and support process so that insight into consumption can be gained and an employee can immediately see what type of charging station the customer has.
Installation and maintenance
If an eMobility supplier carries out the installation itself, a module is available for installation and maintenance. Here, planning and delivery can be realized by technicians and neatly integrated into the entire end-to-end process. Quotations can be confirmed online by the customer. The customer panel can be expanded to provide insight into the status of deliveries and questions asked by customers. An overview of invoices and declarations could also be shown.
